I thought I’d share some scriptures I read this morning. Yesterday was an important day for a family we love.
Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.
They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.”
The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him;
it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord. Lamentations 3:22-26
I called on your name, O Lord, from the depths of the pit.
You heard my plea: “Do not close your ears to my cry for relief.”
You came near when I called you, and said, “Do not fear.”
O Lord, you took up my case; you redeemed my life.
You have seen, O Lord, the wrong done to me.
Uphold my cause! Lamentations 3:55-59
I have set the Lord always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Psalm 16: 8
Who may ascend the hill of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place?
He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not swear by what is false. He will receive blessing from the Lord and vindication from God his Savior.
Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek your face, O God of Jacob. Psalm 24: 3-6
