birthday pics

Lydia chose to see Ice Age, The Meltdown as a family for her birthday celebration. We had a great time eating popcorn and hot dogs, while watching the show together. Afterward, we took the girls to Wal-mart to do a little shopping. By the end of the evening we (James and I) were wore out and ready to get the wound up girls to bed!

I love mother-daughter pictures!

Lydia just had to have her picture taken with the X-Men claw!!

  12. Julie, I don’t get tired of seeing birthday pics. Your girls are so cute and look so happy–it’s a blessing to get to see them shine! Thanks for sharing them.

  13. I have to brag about our trip to Goodwill yesterday. The boys were all getting low on nice church clothes for spring/summer so we headed to our local store. We found 10 like-new shirts for them, 7 shorts, brand new swim shoes for playing in the river(tags still on!), 2 work pants for Steve, 1 swim suit for Steve (NEW-with tags), 1 blouse and 4 dresses for me (one for Easter!), and 2 books! Plus when I got to the counter I learned that ALL the kids clothes were only 99 cents each!!! I had figured that we had racked up about $120, but with the kids clothes on sale, it came to just under $60 for 28 items!!! Thank you, Lord, for blessing us with exactly what we were looking for!

I figured my family would understand my braggin’—we love DEALS! Hold me back–I want to go shopping again! πŸ˜€

  14. NOT GOOD DEALS, BUT GOOD SMARTS. THATS OUR FAMILY. “GOOD SMARTS” :)

  15. That’s my favorite kind of shopping. Good going! Your dad is still doing really good. This is the area and time he usually runs into trouble, so he is trying to be real careful. Been sleeping great too. πŸ˜‰ :flowers Happy Easter to everyone, PRAISE GOD HE AROSE. :worship :worship :worship

  16. Debbie I am soooooo happy for you. When I go to stores and purchase brand new things it makes me a nervous wreck but when I find good deals on clearance or at a thrift store or garage sale, I am flying high. It’s a great feeling. I can’t wait to start garage saling. I bought my summer wardrobe this spring at the thrift store. Cute stuff too!

  17. My friend Elizabeth got all her Easter outfits yesterday at the thrift store. No one would ever know. We’re thrift store junkies! Karen too!

  18. OH and thank you Punky for all your sweet compliments above!

  19. Hi all, we just got home from Kelli’s, they had a big night time easter egg hunt for all the little ones and Erin, Alexis, and their boyfriends hunted too , I think they all had fun looking for eggs in the dark with flashlights. I don’t think I,ve ever seen so much good candy at one time ,I ate quite abit my self. Deb you did,nt say anything about your good deals tonight, nice going girl.I love Goodwill and the thrift store , you never know what good stuff you,ll find. I found a very exspensive desighner purse, they run in the hundreds of dollars , its a Burburry purse, I was so excited to get it for 7.00s. πŸ˜€ later lovey,s

  20. Jules:
You do look good with your hair pulled back. I have never seen you wear your hair like that.
Tell James I said thanks for working on my site.
I have been out of the loop lately….Just not myself.
You all have a Joyful Easter!
“Now let the heavens be joyful,Let earth her song begin:
    Let the world keep triumph, And all that is therein;
Invisible and visible, Their notes let all things blend,
For Christ the Lord is risen our joy that hath no end.”
    Kandis

  21. Aunt Marilyn,
Thankyou, thankyou for the sweet words!!!! I needed that. :indeed :indeed

  22. Your are more than welcome, you are blessed.
    HAPPY EASTER, HE AROSE.

  23. Today has just been a wonderful day, starting with a beautiful golden sunrise! (Well I wasn’t up early enough to see the whole thing, but the 6:30 a.m. part was stunning! I wish I could paint, but I don’t think I could capture the golden streams of light through the clouds. God did it perfectly!!)

I went to Kel and Al’s church this morning to watch Alexis and Erin and their youth group lead worship. They sang, read Scripture and led us in worship with interpretive drama/dance to music. Beautiful and so meaningful. It was a joyful time of worshiping with my family. I’m so glad I went. Then I rushed off to our church to make Sunday School and worship services. We got to see our friends’ daughter baptized this morning along with about 8 others–all youth and children. I just love to celebrate Easter–I think even more than Christmas!
HE IS RISEN!!! :worship :worship :worship

  24. Debbie, it sounds like a wonderful morning!

I am going to post a few pics of our day.

  25. Be of good cheer for I have overcome the world! Jesus’s words are what keep us moving, There is no life outside of Jesus! :worship
I love you all so much!

  26. Jules, I never get tired of pictures so if it isn’t too much trouble, bring them on! Kandis had such wonderful pictures the other day and Marlis always does too.

  27. Happy birthday, Lydia! You’re a girl after my own heart with the X-Men photo. Snikkkt! (That’s the sound the claws make when Wolverine opens them.)
