Happy Birthday, lisa

Jules —  April 28, 2009

I had the privilege of gathering at Olive Garden with a small group of women to honor our good friend, Lisa, on her fiftieth birthday!

Lisa makes any age look good! And she always dresses stylishly.

Lisa is such an amazing woman that just knowing her challenges me to be a better person. I am happy to call her friend. Lisa’s love for the Lord and her eternal optimism make her a great encourager. Despite the struggles that come with being a single mom and the complications that she has to face due to her post-polio health issues, she is not one to EVER complain. She’s truly a great example to follow. Lisa always has a grateful spirit and a cheery dispostion.

Lisa was given a prune plant! There are individually wrapped prunes all over! Very cute!

Karen and I were initiated into the Sisterhood Of The Secret Cell! Apparently, women at a certain age begin to carry their cell phones in their bras. It’s quite quirky and rather practical!

Lots of laughs were had over the butt crack behind Milly!

I’ll leave you with that! Hehe!!! Happy Birthday, Lisa!

  1. Lisa looks great at 50, love her smile.

Those darn butt cracks make Ian and I laugh a lot too. Ian is the first to let me know where the butt crack person is. lol lol lol lol

  2. I had so much fun yesterday celebrating Lisa’s birthday! I’m so glad I was invited. It really perked me up the whole day. I laid in bed last night just giggling over the butt crack and the “Sisterhood of the Secret Cell”. I love my new cell phone holder! It works great.

  3. I think the fact that it was a wrinkly butt made it that much funnier! I love being with women. We have so much fun being goofy and having a good laugh.

Kandis, there are some things that will always be funny, huh?!

  4. How funny. That makes me laugh too! I hate to see it, but always laugh.

It’s good to get out with friends and a Birthday is always fun. Lisa is so pretty. I think all of the girls were pretty.

  5. I forgot to mention that Lisa is a Master Budgeter. No one can make a dollar stretch like she can. She’s got the Dave Ramsey envelope system down to a science!

Lisa’s daughter, CJ, is Lydia’s best friend. They have a lot of fun together!!!

Yes, Lisa is a pretty lady.

  6. Dave Ramsey is coming to our church this fall for a meeting. Hope a lot of people show up.

I have two special friends that I always enjoy being with. It’s hard to find friends who I enjoy being with as much as my family. They just don’t understand our humor.

I would love to listen to Dave Ramsey, maybe Gil would like to see him too.

So glad you have those kind of friends, Jules. Sounds like you have loads of fun.

  8. James is going to see Dave Ramsey live this Saturday with a couple of buddies.

I am fortunate to have a handful of close friends. I know what you mean about our sense of humor. That’s why I love to be with y’all. I’m fortunate, too, to have some good friends who seem to understand our goofy humor!

Lisa & Mille look like they’d be a lot of fun to be with.

Marlis, Gil is interested in seeing Dave Ramsey. Pick up some tickets for us two or what ever it is that you have to do to see him.

Bet the guy in Blue was wondering what all the giggleing was about. You should have showed him this picture, he he.

  11. I always wonder why they can’t feel the breeze!

  12. I think it happens so often with some people, they just don’t notice it anymore. Unfortunately the rest of us have to live with noticing it–ugh!
