my sinuses are cleaned out. . .

Jules —  February 21, 2006

We spent the night at a wonderful lodge with a delightful indoor waterpark. I honestly cannot think of another place that would be more fun to spend time with my family. I can’t wait to go back. It’s close to our home, so there’s no long drive. It’s so easy and FUN!

We didn’t take very many pics. We were too busy playing!

There’s this awesome fort and at the top are water slides. Everywhere you go on this fort there’s water pouring down on you like a soaker thundershower. It even sounds like heavy rain. I have had water violently squirted up my nose from every direction!! Climbing net ropes isn’t nearly as easy as it once was, especially while being sprayed with water. Every 3 minutes there’s a huge bucket that dumps thousands of gallons of water on the fort and those anxiously waiting to get nailed below.

The fort is my favorite part, but there are also mega large water slides that the girls and I delighted in. Lydia and Jessica like going down together on the two seater rafts. It was fun watching them haul the big raft together up several stories of stairs.

James and I took turns watching Anjelia in the pee-pee pool. I had a great time hanging out with her, soaking in the warm bath temperature water. There’s lots of fun things for the babies and toddlers. There was also a great hot tub we could all hang out together in. James and I took turns seeking the sanctuary of the ‘adult only’ hot tub!!!

Unfortunately, Anjelia and Elaina totally tired out by mid-afternoon and were crying to go home! They could barely walk. We were all exhausted from two days of play, so we headed home several hours before I would’ve liked to. I was a little sad heading back, but I know there are many more fun times ahead for our family!

Kathryn I did not see where you told on me.
I got Moma “Walk The Line” video. She called and
asked if I was going by Wal-Mart, could I pick it
    up.
Moma said to tell everyone she misses you all. She
said I bet Julie’s girls are getting big. I’m gonna let her see some pictures on the site but not the messages just in case. She said she is blessed because Debbie makes sure she gets her medicine right and helps her with appointments.

  6. Thanks Kelli, I enjoyed hearing about mama. Give mama a hug and kiss from all of us. Wish we could all go to a waterpark together, that would be a real riot. All of this family??? We’d be run out of town. :evil ๐Ÿ˜€

  7. Had a busy, horrible, no good very bad day, even gave my manager a mean look. Too much work and compromising my patients, that doesn’t happen . Someday I will get to retire!
Tommorrow is lent, we will have a special service, that should be refreshing.
    :banghead :banghead

  8. Thank you for all that has prayed for us!!! Never have we seen such a flu. I had to make myself walk to get my strength back. My legs hurt so much that I could not sleep at night while being ill. This to will pass.

  13. Julie, I am soooo glad that you are feeling better!!!!! Being sick is a bummer :banghead

  14. Hi All, I was at an auction most of the day, then went to tan, then drove bus from 3:00 til 7:30pm. I had a good book and The Good Book to read so I did’t get on the blog yesterday. You think your job is rough, try driving 150 kids around all day!Butch and I went to see the Johnny Cash Movie this weekend and it was good. He was a rascal til he married June. It cost 1.50 for each of us to get in. Is that a bargain? Heathers lawyer called and said Matt Knows he doesn’t have a chance to get full custody of the kids so now he just keeps canceling court dates so it doesn’t get settled. He knows he will have to pay support when it does. Things are looking a little better for her, I just wish she could find a job.Hi Kandi, did you get to look at the tapes yet? Are they good? Let me know.Marlis, what kind of kitty did you get? Marilyn, when are they going to be done with your house? Did they mess up any of your plants? Love you all.

  15. It was a black avon bottle in the shape of a cat laying down. Darling.

  16. Jules, I’m so glad you are feeling better too. It’s one thing to be by yourself and sick, but with four children and a husband. My, oh my, gives me chills thinking about the demand of getting well.

  17. Linda, I did loose a lot of flowers & a spiria bush but the way I feel lately I need to downsize. I am only going to plant flowers where I can see them out my back windows and in the back yard. At least the best flowers are ok.

Trish, I always hated it at work when they dish out more than a person could keep up with. It takes away the satisfaction of a job well done.

Sounds like the D family really had it bad, glad to hear that you all are doing better.

So glad Mom has the movie, I didn’t know Johnny was such an angry guy.

Kathy probably forgot about the cat, I kept forgetting to get it to Marlis. I hate to think about how long it has been. She probably thought Marlis didn’t like it. Hi Linda, hope all works out for the best, especially for the kidos. Being a bus driver is the last job I would do. Three cheers for you and your nervers of iron. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  18. Wow, Jules, 117 posts on one thing!!!!

  19. Yes, Aunt Marilyn, Johnny had his share of problems. I enjoyed the movie. The music was a lot of fun. I hope grandma liked it. They focus on his early tumultuos years of drug abuse, extra marital affair with June etc. When it ended, I was dissapointed. I wanted more. I wanted to hear about the good years.

Aunt Marlis, thank you for your comment about sick moms. It’s nice when someone recognizes we don’t get to take sick days! lol!

I want to start a new thread but I haven’t had time!! I love reading everyone’s comments. If I don’t respond to everyone, please know I am so enjoying reading every comment. I just haven’t had time to do a lot of my own commenting. Hopefully I’ll find some time tonight to do a new post.

  20. New subject, please.

  21. I am setting up a blog when I get my puter ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€ :indeed :indeed
I think it will be a RETRO blog. I think of myself as a retro girl. Ask Jules, she will tell ya I am definately RETRO ๐Ÿ˜€
What name should I come up with for my blog???
    Kandis

  22. What is retro??????? ๐Ÿ˜

  23. retro- A fashion, decor, design, or style reminiscent of things past.

Kandi, what are you using? Do you need help? Let us know. How fun!!!!

Hmmmmm…. a name….this will be fun…hmmmmm Let me think. We need Karen for this!

  24. A retro blog is definitely you Kandis!

  25. My Retro is colorful daisies and mushrooms all orange and yellow and funny mushroom shapes just like the 1970’s deorations.
    I loved the 70’s……
or 1950’s atomic art(boomerangs, atomic starburst’s), turquoise colors, olive green, 70’s orange color.
    Yeahhhhhhhh Baby!!!!!!!
    Shagadelic Stuff ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜€ :rotfl
That is what I want my background to look like…
I am a retro freak when it comes to searching for old stuff to collect.
MOM that is what RETRO is.

  26. Hey Mom:
You and Aunt Marilyn are RETRO!
Heee Heeee Heeee :rotfl :rotfl :rotfl
Boy I wonder if this statement will get the fur flying :rotfl ๐Ÿ˜€

  27. I think all things Retro is a good thing. Retro- Country music for instance. Manners, consideration of others, Romance, Etc. Can’t make me mad calling me RETRO. Like Martha says,” It’s a good thing.”

  28. Shagadelic Stuff sounds good to me Kandi.

  29. I did not mean to use that smile face!Accident

  30. I did not know what retro was either. Linda has a
stressful job, but look how she handles it. Sun tanning, reading and movies all sound so smart and
great. Kandis’ name…hummm…maybe a favorite candy from then? Flowers, mushrooms, peace, 70’s… I’m stumped. Sounds like alot of fun. How is Marilyn’s back doing? Moma doesn’t have to go
back to the heart doctor for a year. Trish, Scott
went to Ash Wed. today. Now starts 40 days of lent. What are you giving up for 40 days or can you tell? Guess you were suppose to eat fish today. Deb, Moma said thanks for the McDonald’s trip it was fun.

  31. The sister came to our unit, prayed over each of us individually then put ashes like a cross on our foreheads. We walked around all day looking like marked people for Jesus. One of my patients gave me a christian tract, I showed him my ashes and told him I was a follower. He looked at me like I’m crazy. I had a much better day today. I think I want to be a clinique counter girl, wear my little white coat and be pretty all the time! That has to be satisfying, I’m sure.

  32. Hi Trish, glad you had a better day. I don’t know how you young people do it, work all day and then go home and take care of a family. It makes me tired thinking about it. And you work 12 hour shifts! I just got off the phone with Kelli and Mamma. She’s still all hyper about her Johnny cash movie and cd. I think Mama wants a laptop so she can chat too.

  33. That sounds like a good idea to me, for mama to have a laptop. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  34. Trish, you can be the Clinique beauty and I’ll be a sales clerk in dresses or I may be the marketing director and order all the stuff I like. I think I’ll stay a nurse once a week or just P.R.N. I’d much wrather work if I don’t have to. Marilyn, thanks for that prayer the other day, I had a better day today. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Trish , that sounds awesome that the Sister prayed with all of you and put the ash crosses on ya’lls forheads, how cool, great way to witness. Linda, you do have a gift to be able to drive 150 kids around, bless your heart :angel You have a crown waiting on you girl :king . Deb , how come I don’t get a vertual hug? :cry Kandis, I like your ideal of retro, we’ll all think on your name for it.How about [ Groovin]? :indeed Hi Kelli Sue ,Marie ,Alline. You don’t send me flowers anymore :flowers :cry I love you , little string bean ๐Ÿ˜€ You really should come see you’r ol sister more, when we gonna go shopping? ๐Ÿ˜€ Won’t someone go shopping with me? :( O.K. Im going to go take a shower, I’ll be back latter. love ya’ll! :indeed

  35. Hey all maybe we should all go together and get Moma a laptop! :indeed ๐Ÿ˜€

  36. Yes, Aunt Marilyn, Johnny had his share of problems. I enjoyed the movie. The music was a lot of fun. I hope grandma likes it.

Geez, all you hard working women have me wore out just from reading about your jobs. I am really tired and I was at home all day.

Lent is a great idea. I’ve never participated, but I can see how it would be good to fast from something for a time. Hmmmmm, don’t know what it’d be. Praying for Scott. . .

I want to start a new thread but I haven’t had time!! I love reading everyone’s comments. If I don’t respond to everyone, please know I am so enjoying reading every comment. I just haven’t had time to do a lot of my own commenting. Hopefully I’ll get a new post done soon.

  37. Hey Marlis, I found a cheaper way to frame my pictures. I bought 3 large wood frames with glass and mats at the auction the other day for 12.00 and they’re beautiful. One is dark oak the other 2 are ivory with double mats.

  38. Im back, I was thinking, we all need to bring some things we have made or something we just love to the celebration, you know what I mean. I love to see things others have made or some little thing people love . ๐Ÿ˜€ What do you all think? :rolleyes later , love , peace groovy . :oops :rotfl

  39. Julie, it doesn’t count if you pay your family to up your comments! :cool

  40. Anybody got an idea how much a laptop cost? Sounds like something she’d really like. That way she can keep track of us. Who will check into the price. We can’t do it at this time, I would have to have my advisor with me and he can’t handle the standing around. I had to take a muscle relaxant and sleeping pill last night for my back but it is better today. Same path it took at christmas time. I hope NOT!!!!!!!!!!! :banghead

  41. I have always told everybody, what a wonderfull family Linda has.I guess this blog proves it.I am glad all of you quit yaking long enough four me to put my two cents in.Thank you!Good night!

  45. Kathryn Faye, I didn’t send you a virtual hug cuz’ you can drive across town here anytime you want and get a REAL hug. Just come on over and see your lil’ ol’ niece anytime. You USED to come and see me, but you don’t anymore…what’s up with THAT!? Come and see me!? hee hee ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ˜‰
