She’s healed!

I took Anjelia to the doctor today to have a skin test done for the peanut allergy. A few months ago, I gave her a bite of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. She immediately broke out in a bright red rash with raised white hives all around her mouth and neck. She also began clawing at her neck trying to itch her throat. I knew the reaction had to be from the peanut butter, it was the only thing she had never had before. My niece has the allergy and I knew from her experiences what happens and how severe it can be. I called poison control and gave her Benadryl. At my first appointment with the allergist, they did a blood test that surprised the doctor. It came back negative for the allergy, so they set up an appointment today to do the skin test. There was no reaction!!!!! I don’t think that was a big surprise to James, who has been telling me emphatically that she has been healed!

The doctor and nurse seemed as anxious as I was to see the results. During the fifteen minutes you must wait for the reading to be complete, they must have both come into the room 3 times each to check. The nurse said this allergy makes her feel skittish. The doctor seemed surprised and said she was very relieved to see a negative result! She asked me questions again about the allergy incident and she said it had to have been the peanut butter. It can run in families and my niece has it and the symptoms are classic to peanut allergy. I told her we took her forward at church and had her prayed over for healing and that people have been praying for her. She looked at me and paused for a second and said “That helps”.

We are still not going to give her any peanut products but much of our anxiety has been relieved. I am still going to carry an epi-pen, too. When she turns three we will challenge it. She will be admitted to the hospital and set up with an IV. They will feed her peanut butter and see what happens. Despite our caution, I do believe God healed her of the allergy!!!!!

But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:5

Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits–who forgives all your sins and heals all of your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies you desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. Psalm 103:2-5

  1. I’m glad she was negative to the test. I’m positive the prayers was very good for her. I believe he cured her too. I pray she never has any more trouble, that is so scary.

  2. He is still in the healing business. PTL!!! What a wonderful testimony. I hope everyone will pray for me starting now that my back won’t cause me any problems for my upcoming Youth evangelistic trip to Miss. Love

  3. Yesterday Aaron was throwing up. He slept all afternoon. I went in and bent down next to him, placed my hand on his head and prayed to God to heal him fast so he would not miss playing with his cousins, since Deb is here visiting. As soon as I prayed it he sat up and said, “Mommy, I’m well now!” He got up and started playing puzzels with James! I almost fell backwards when he sat up and said that! God is very powerful!!! Same today as yesterday and tommorrow!

  4. We all need a dose of the child-like faith. Why are we surprised when God heals?

  5. Awesome Trish! The kids teach us a lot don’t they?

When do you leave Aunt Marilyn?

  6. Trish, We are so glad that Aaron is feeling better, so he can enjoy playing with his cus while they are there. Hope they have gotten to see a lot of DC. Am thankful we have a Loving Lord to go to in times of need.

Julie our Youth trip begings on July 8, 7:30 am. I hope you will pray for me a couple of days before that, hoping my back don’t start to complain. I am sure emotional stress plays a part in my spasms. Even though I am excited about going and am not worried about it, I still manage to get stressed for some reason. I cannot seem to control that part of my self and need God’s hand to help me. That is what I pray for.
Thank you, and anyone else who prays I will be very grateful.

  7. I feel stressed a lot too. Even when I’m having fun and am not feeling worried. I feel it in my jaws and neck. I really hate that. I wish I could control that too.

I’ll definitely pray for you. I’ll pray that your body would be able to stay relaxed!

  8. I Thank you very much. Have a wonderful 4th.

I am beginning more & more to think of the many soldiers who have given ALL for our freedom.

  9. I was so glad to hear that she’s not allergic! Thank you Jesus!
