James went to Dave Ramsey’s Total Money Makeover Live with his buddies Carl and Jeff. I have a weakness for mascots!! (I’d have a blast at Disney world!) Knowing this, James had his picture taken with Junior for me!! Now that’s love!

lOVE IT!!!! I tend to walk around mascots and hide so they don’t see me. Don’t ask me why, I guess I’m shy. I’m so glad James got to go to this meeting.

  2. I have to admit, although I like mascots, this one is kind of ugly!

  3. I didn’t know they had a mascot! Who is “Junior”? Is that the kids part of FPU?

  4. Yeah, I think so.

Jules, I was so excited watching the TODAY show this morning they featured the women who make the beads that you have. You had a blog about them a while back. Women in America are now having home parties selling the beads they make. Go to to find out how to have a party. The necklaces they make are beautiful.

  6. Bummer! They aren’t Keza beads. They are similar and it’s really awesome!!! I love my beads. Empowering these women by giving them profitable work is amazing. keza beads are at

I like the idea of having in home jewelery parties. I would do one for such a cause as that!

I don’t like to do home parties anymore, mainly because I just don’t usually need the items. Because of my age I pretty much have all the kitchen items, make up and clothes I need. Probably to much, BUT I think I would host a party for the beads in order to help these women out.

My suspicious side then says: what if the parties I would get involved in is a hoax and not the real beads of the women who really need the income. The news we get anymore is making me think this way. We hear about the tent cities forming of people who have lost their homes, only to find out that these places were formed 10 years ago and are mostly homeless pot heads, and loosers or mentally ill folks. If you listen to the Christian radio shows you hear a different slant on the news then what you hear on TV news. So, it is really hard to know what to believe anymore. Yikes!!! WHAT TO DO!!!!!! Sorry had to vent.

  8. James met and trusted the guy who has started the keza beads. He’s a reputable guy from reputable family. He gave his testimony and talked about how he runs the business. Quite amazing. I trust that situation because of first hand experience.

I understand what you are saying. There’s so much manipulation of the truth out there that it’s hard to know what and whom to believe. I was at one of the tea day parties and what I experienced and what the news had to share were entirely different. There’s a lot of different spin going on out there based on different agendas.

  9. It was an awesome time…except for that freaky mascot!!! 😉

Definitely inspiring and life changing and a whole lot of fun. Thanks again James for taking me along!

  10. Personally, I think the guy with the mascot is a lot cuter. :)

  12. I’ll say!!!!!!!!!!!

    Welcome aboard, Carl!

  13. If it wasn’t for the fact that Julie loves those mascots I wouldn’t have had my picture taken.

He is a little creepy looking.

  14. You can blame me for the photo Julie and I’ll agree Junior is kind of creepy looking. :)

  20. I cant wait! Thanks for bead info.
Tell James not to worry at all. Hopefully Gma can watch Ian at home.

  21. It might do me good to get away from everyone!

  22. Jules:

    I bought Joyce Meyer’s book
    I love it.
I am insecure and that is why I bought this book,

An addiction is something that controls people-something they feel they cannot do without or something they do to alleviate pain or pressure…Like any addicts (insecure people) need someone to reafiirm them and assure them that everything is all right. This book will provide me a path to release me from the overwhelming need for acceptance from the outside world or from family and friends. God gives all the affirmation we need and through Him we can attain freedom. He loves me and as long as I know I am a good person I should not worry what anyone else thinks but GOD.
This book also helps me to NOT BE CONTROLLED BY PEOPLE!!!

  23. Kandis, that’s awesome! You can’t go wrong with Joyce Meyer. Isn’t she great? I’m glad you are reading that! Sounds like I should read it, too. Keep filling yourself full of good stuff. It pushes out the bad / wrong thinking!

    I can’t wait until tomorrow!!!
