Vindicate: To clear of accusation, blame, suspicion, or doubt.

So rejoice, O sons of Zion,
And be glad in the Lord your God;
For He has given you the early rain for your vindication.
And He has poured down for you the rain,
The early and latter rain as before.
And the threshing floors will be full of grain,
And the vats will overflow with the new wine and oil.
“Then I will make up to you for the years
That the swarming locust has eaten,
The creeping locust, the stripping locust, and the gnawing locust,
My great army which I sent among you.
“And you shall have plenty to eat and be satisfied,
And praise the name of the Lord your God,
Who had dealt wondrously with you;
Then my people will never be put to shame.
“Thus you will know that I am in the midst of Israel, (this includes us)
And that I am the Lord your God
And there is no other;
And My people will never be put to shame.”
Joel 2:23-27

I am seeing several attacks going on around me. It has been quite discouraging. Maybe you are facing them too. We have much to be excited about in the coming days. I believe the enemy is on the defensive looking for ways to steal and kill and destroy. He is the accuser.

“And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even to death.” Revelation 2:11

When we were in the process of loosing Jessica, there were accusations made against me. A parenting aid and a therapist for the birthfather did not like me for whatever reason. A two page typed report was written about me. It was full of lies and half truths. When I read it I screamed! I felt as if I were being attacked by satan himself! Well, we know the bible says our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6: 12

In the end they looked like fools and Jessica was ours! The Lord showed himself strong on our behalf. He vindicated us!

The Lord will bring vindication to those who have been attacked by the accuser!! Thank you!!!!

Psalms 17:1-7
1 A Prayer of David. Hear a just cause, O Lord, Attend to my cry; Give ear to my prayer which is not from deceitful lips. 2 Let my vindication come from Your presence; Let Your eyes look on the things that are upright. 3 You have tested my heart; You have visited me in the night; You have tried me and have found nothing; I have purposed that my mouth shall not transgress. 4 Concerning the works of men, By the word of Your lips, I have kept away from the paths of the destroyer. 5 Uphold my steps in Your paths, That my footsteps may not slip. 6 I have called upon You, for You will hear me, O God; Incline Your ear to me, and hear my speech. 7 Show Your marvelous lovingkindness by Your right hand, O You who save those who trust in You From those who rise up against them.

  1. Satan doesn’t like it when we are trying to do God’s will and live the way He wants us to. We are so thankful that truth prevailed in your plite to keep Jessica. I will never be able to understand what possessed them to put her in harms way.Thank God she is where she was supposed to be. Can’t believe any one would have anything bad to say about you, Julie.

  2. What a great post, Julie.

    Thank you for that word!

  3. Julie, as I read this again Psalm 91 came to my mind. It is so encouraging that we have a place to hide in. That hiding place will also rescue those who “set their love upon Him”!

    1 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.” 3 Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler F86 And from the perilous pestilence. 4 He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. 5 You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day, 6 Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. 7 A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you. 8 Only with your eyes shall you look, And see the reward of the wicked.

    9 Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place, 10 No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; 11 For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways. 12 In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone. 13 You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot. 14 “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. 15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. 16 With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation.”

  4. Thank you Karen. Thank you too your prayers. I know over the years you have sent up sooooo many prayers for us and those we love. Thank you.
