Welcome to Percolations!

Welcome to my site. This has been a fun project to do! James was the brains behind the operation. He really does know a lot about computers and it has finally paid off for me!! I enjoyed “shopping” around and experimenting with different looks. I must say James was very patient. He changed lots of code and uploaded lots of images for me. We’ll be tinkering with it more as we go. Thanks, honey!!!

I hope you will keep coming back and checking in to see what’s going on. Please post your thoughts! I need the adult interaction!! I’ve never done a blog before, so we’ll see what happens.

Congratulations on getting your blog up and on its way! I love the posts that you wrote on Jimmy’s House, so I am really looking forward to reading your very own blog.

Did you check out the pix of Razz on dancingtarts? He looks so cute in his Sponge Bob hat.

Congrats on getting your blog up and going. It looks great and the colors definitely have a ‘coffee shop’ feel to them. Looking forward to what you have to say.

Thanks for the chicken noodle soup. Incidently, I think I like every kind of soup imaginable except tomato soup and the bean soup (or whatever you call the stuff you eat with cornbread). Other than those 2 I love soup, especially creamy ones like clam chowder, potato soup, broccoli cheese, etc.

Wow, I’m impressed! Way to go Julie/James. :-) Julie, I can’t wait to read more of your wisdom.

    I really like your coffee theme. I agree with Carl, the colors and images have a… comfortable coffee shop feel. Like a cozy menu. I can almost smell the Brazillian dark roast now. {Sniffff}

Where did you come up with the mugs and beans and the banner image? It’s consistent. Are you guys artists now too? Sheesh, the talent around here!

Was Carl trying to clarify that it is only the beans and cornbread he doesn’t like or was he hinting for more soup from Julie???

I made your taco soup this winter, Julie, and he really loved it.

Sorry Carl, I didn’t think you were into soup. I stand corrected!

Rob,we kept it simple and used clip art for the images. Don’t be too impressed!!

Don’t be modest, its impressive regardless of where you got the images from. Someone still has to know how to make it all work and the color scheme fits very nicely together. Pat yourself on the back!

As for the soup thing, I told Mary on the way home, “why did you tell Julie (in essence) that I didn’t like soup?” Soup is one of my favs! Now if coffee just tasted like Lobster Bisque I’d be swimming in it!

Speaking of soup again, thank you, THANK YOU for the chicken noodle soup. Just got done eating it for lunch and it was divine! I love chick noodle with the big noodles like that. Thanks!

This looks awesome, you guys! Love the name, love the theme. Many of my favorite memories are of great conversation, laughs and cries over a great cup of coffee with a good friend.

    Is Rustee Mary?

  14. Julie March 7, 2005 at 2:05 pm #

Yep, it’s a take off of her maiden name, Russell. Cute nickname, isn’t it!

  15. Carl V. March 7, 2005 at 2:44 pm #

I won’t ever agree to let her name a child of ours ‘Russell’ so she had to do something……and for the record there probably won’t be any future kids so don’t go reading anything into this! :)

  16. Jimmy March 7, 2005 at 2:51 pm #

You don’t want a daughter named Russell?

  17. Carl V. March 7, 2005 at 3:21 pm #

Only if I had somehow had her in a past life, her first name was Jane, and I was somehow reaping the benefits of her wealth!

The site looks great and I actually think someday I might try drinking coffee again without throwing up. In the meantime I will have to expresso myself with a coke.
